Counselling Wiltshire is committed to the practical application of Equal Opportunities and strives to ensure that no person seeking access to the services of counselling or job applicant or employee or volunteer services receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of disability, age, ethic or national origin, religion, colour, sexual orientation or marital status, nor is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which can not be justifiable.
This principal will apply to all activities that is, recruitment of employees and volunteers, training and development and in all services and facilities delivered by Counselling Wiltshire.
If you have any concerns relating to this principal we would like to hear from you.
It is important to acknowledge that under the ethics we are required only to work within the areas we are trained and competent. This means that there may be occasions where enquiries make contact and we advise you that we do not work with these specialist areas. This would be a little bit like asking a foot surgeon to work a disability of the hand. For Example none of my team are trained to work with narcissistic personality traits.
Google defines narcissistic traits as involving a pattern of self-centred, arrogant thinking and behaviour, a lack of empathy and consideration for other people and an excessive need for admiration. Others often describe people with narcissistic personality disorder as cocky, manipulative, selfish, patronizing and demanding.
These traits require specialist training.
