As a Senior Accredited Trauma-Informed Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, and EMDR Therapist with over a decade of experience

I understand how important it is to feel safe, seen, and respected when seeking support. In an industry that’s increasingly in the public eye with serious concerns raised about regulation and client safety I want you to know that this is a space where your protection and well-being come first.

I provide structured care for those navigating trauma, anxiety, complex PTSD, BPD traits, and emotional overwhelm.

Trained by world-leading trauma expert Janina Fisher Phd, I integrate her methods alongside EMDR, AMDR, and neuroscience-informed approaches to help you understand not just what you feel - but why.

With a background in HR and employment law, I bring a grounded, ethical lens to therapy. I’m also leading public safety and accountability projects in response to growing concerns about industry regulation, so clients know they’ve come to a practice that takes safety and professionalism seriously.

Sessions are reviewed termly to ensure your evolving needs are always our focus.

Working hours: 9:30am to 3:30pm.

Rafaella Karydi

Rafaella Karydi

Rafaella Karydi

I’m an integrative therapist. Supporting people has always been my calling. Originally from South Africa but now rooted in the UK, I bring a rich, culturally sensitive perspective to therapy, informed by my mixed heritage and lived experience as an expat.

I believe we carry stories—some we’ve written ourselves and others shaped by relationships, experiences, and environments. My role is to help you make sense of these narratives, whether we’re exploring how the past echoes into your present, understanding the emotions of today, or envisioning and working toward the future you desire.

As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to meet you where you are. Together, we might reflect on patterns that no longer serve you, untangle overwhelming emotions, or strengthen the tools you already have to navigate life’s challenges. My practice is holistic, focusing not just on your thoughts but also on your emotions, body, and relationships.

Reading this profile shows that you’re ready to focus on yourself—and that matters. Whether you’re feeling uncertain about starting therapy or have questions about the process, I’d be happy to discuss what working together might involve. Reach out, even if to start a conversation.

You deserve the time and space to heal, grow, and rediscover yourself.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Raf

Rafaella's fees are £55 per standard session

£25 for a 30 minute introductory assessment session.

When life feels heavy, chaotic, or simply too much, it can be hard to see the way forward. I work with people who are carrying more than they should: stress, anxiety, trauma, or lingering emotional pain that shows up in their mind, body, or behaviour. Whether it’s panic attacks, insomnia, low confidence, or the weight of unresolved experiences, I help people gently reset and rebuild from a place of strength.

I’m a registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, trained at the highly regarded Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT). I hold the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) and the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) qualifications approved by the National Council for Hypnotherapy and considered the Gold Standard in the field.

Before retraining in hypnotherapy, I spent 25 years serving in the Royal Air Force Medical Services and later worked in the NHS and adult social care. That background shapes how I work: with respect, empathy, and a clear focus on what helps.

My approach is not about endlessly talking through the past. It’s about helping you identify where you want to be — and using proven, neuroscience-informed techniques to help get you there. Hypnosis is a calm, natural state of focused relaxation where change becomes possible, and your mind can start to let go of what no longer serves you.

Clients often tell me they feel safe, heard, and understood. Every session is confidential, personalised, and geared toward helping you feel more in control of your mind, emotions, and future.

If you’re exhausted by stress, stuck in patterns you want to break, or ready to stop surviving and start living, I’m here to support that change — one calm, focused step at a time.

Rob joined our team in 2024 and works from our Old Town location on Mondays.

Life can shift suddenly through diagnosis, divorce, job loss, or simply a growing inner discomfort you can’t quite name.

Rob works with individuals navigating these moments of change, offering a calm, consistent presence when the ground feels unsteady. He specialises in helping people work through significant life changes, such as a diagnosis, breakup, job loss, or unexpected shift offering a steady, compassionate space to make sense of what’s happened and what comes next.

Donna Joined us in 2024 and will be in on a Tuesday Evening  in Old Town.

As a passionate person centered trainee counsellor my aim is to provide a safe, non judgmental and welcoming environment for clients to explore their emotional difficulties and to empower clients towards personal growth.

I have 13 years of supporting victims through the criminal justice system, (non counselling role) with a particular focus on those experiencing domestic abuse and sexual abuse of all ages (5yrs to adult).

In line with a person centered way of working, i believe that we all have an innate desire to reach the best we can be and that this can be achieved by understanding and exploring ourselves more. This can be achieved through trust and empathy in the therapeutic relationship, where i stay along side you as you start to explore.

Sarah joined us in 2024 and will be in Old Town on a Thursday.

I am a person-centred trainee counsellor offering a confidential, safe space, for you to share your thoughts and feelings in. Whatever you wish to share during counselling is yours to decide and I aim to be an alert companion, alongside you, while we explore what’s on your mind; at your pace.

I am a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have 3 years’ bereavement support experience.

I have worked as a British Sign Language (BSL) PA, interpreter and tutor, for the past 20 years; and through this work, have gained huge insight into the effects of deafness on adults and children.

I am also a fitness instructor and have a, keen interest, in nutrition and exercise and how a healthy lifestyle can be beneficial to one’s mental health.

I believe that building a trusting relationship with a therapist enables someone to identify what thoughts and feelings are most important to them, at that particular time. I will be guided by you and your needs, and I look forward to hearing about what matters to you, right now, and to help you make sense of it.

Sarah works on Thursdays

We ask for £30 per session to cover overheads towards Sarah's placement with us.

As an administrator, I spearheaded two impactful projects that delved into the heart of the therapy industry. The first adventure took me deep into the Wiltshire region, where I meticulously researched and contacted counsellors listed in a local directory. My mission? To uncover the secrets of industry response times, all meticulously documented in an Excel spreadsheet.

The second project was born from the BACP's SCOPED initiative.

Sensing the discontent among senior accredited therapists, I took action. I reached out to these esteemed professionals, offering them certificates that acknowledged their hard-earned status. I collected and organized their data, ultimately adding them to the Rated Therapies directory, ensuring their expertise received the recognition it deserved.
